Results are in for 2017 Summer C/D League Finals
On Tuesday, July 25th, players and supporters gathered to cheer on Mayfair Lakeshore and GoodLife Dunfield as they battled for the top spot in the Summer C/D League. Both teams were strong performers all season long and they brought their best game to the Finals at Mayfair Lakeshore. Only one could take home the trophy.GoodLife Dunfield was off to an early lead, winning their first two matches. When the #1 and 2 players stepped on court, the pressure was on both teams to deliver a result. Mayfair Lakeshore hoped to turn the tide in their favor and put up an intense fight, losing 13:15 in the fifth at the # 2 spot!
The night was won and Natalie Rougas and Diane Belanger went on to provide a final match that epitomized the fair play, respect, friendship, and camaraderie of the T&D experience. In front of a small but vocal crowd of supporters, friends and family, captain faced off against captain in a battle that was won 16:14 in the 5th by Mayfair Lakeshore's Diane Belanger!
After a short presentation and photo op, during which the below women were recognized with a Killepitsch award for winning 100% of their matches, everyone retired to the bistro for drinks and conversation.
