Squash Canada and Squash Ontario are presenting a first-ever squash symposium on Thursday, October 30th and we have 3 keynote speakers who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the program. I’m sure you know Marie-Claude Asselin, the Executive Director of the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada – she will be presenting on conflict resolution and management, specifically as it pertains to refereeing. We are trying to take the fear out of people holding the clipboard.
Nutrition and cancer prevention is being presented by noted and best-selling author, Liz Pearson; and Elite/High Performance Sport – how soon is too soon for children? That is being presented by Associate Professor, Parissa Safai.
We’ve also planned squash round robins, an expert panel on women in sport/squash, lunch and a wine and cheese reception in conjunction with an exhibition by members of Canada’s women’s team who will be competing in the World Team Championship in December.
It promises to be a spectacular day for squash and we are asking for your help and support. People can register by phone or through our website.
