2014/15 TDWSA Season – Results of feedback and league information

1/ Feedback

In early August we put the call out to all captains inviting feedback:

“Captains!  Hope you are having a great summer!

It’s feedback time!  Could you please let us know if you have questions, comments or suggestions regarding the TDWSA league (both winter and summer).

From rules changes to prize suggestions, length of season, division of teams, social, web site etc, whatever is important to you, please let us know.

We ask that comments be submitted by August 12th so the Executive can review at our pre-season meeting.”

Thanks so much to all those who submitted feedback!  It was much appreciated.  We received some great input which lead to lively and productive discussions on how to improve the league.

We reviewed all the ideas and comments and proposed some rule changes as a result:

  • Move schedule forward to start 1st week of October and end last week of March
  • Social brought back with home teams providing a light meal (on your own for drinks)
  • D league changed to 4 players per team
  • Games to be scored PAR to 11

We then sent the proposed changes out to the Captains again for feedback.  We had 21/33 captains respond and after reviewing the responses, we have decided to proceed with the  Change to the schedule and Number of players in the D division (trial this year)

The scoring will remain as PAR 15.

The Social will still be a pay your own way system, however, we received alot of feedback requesting that the social be brought back, so we will look at ideas on how to make sure the social aspect of league is maintained.

4/ Help!

We are looking for help digitizing the historical records of the TDWSA so they can be added to the web site.  We thought this could be a great way for a Junior to earn volunteer hours and learn about the history of the league.  If you are interested, please contact Anna Tomei at Anna.Tomei@rci.rogers.com

Thanks so much – looking forward to a great season!
